TJ Birria y Mas: Incredible Birria Tacos and More!

Back in 2020, TJ Birria Y Mas opened its first location in Stafford and was truly the MVP of the year by offering their incredible birria for takeout. 4 crazy years later, they have their 3rd location in Katy! We can safely say that their Birria Tacos are still just as delectable as we remembered – juicy, flavorful, and perfectly dipped in that rich, savory consomé. 

Their Katy location has a menu full of our favorite dishes that we have come to love at their other 2 restaurants. We recommend trying the Birria Deluxe first, because it's basically a birria sampler and gets you a Birriadilla, Mini Quesabirria, Mini Mulita, and a Vampiro (birria tostada)!

Each dish was INSANELY flavorful and enhanced even more once dipped into their incredible consomé. You can also get each dish from the sampler separately if you already know which is your favorite!

One of the standouts of the day was the Birria Plate, which is a platter holding a pile of their wonderfully tender shredded Birria as well as refried beans and rice with the consomé LADLED on top. We literally couldn’t stop eating this, it was so good.

The prize for most unique menu item was definitely the Birria Ramen! It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like, ramen noodles floating in the rich Birria broth. Step aside Cup-a-noodle, there’s a new sheriff in town! 

Some of their other menu items include Tortas, Burritos, Quesadillas, Street Tacos, and Enchiladas! For each you can choose a protein of Chicken, Beef, and Pork. 

They also have some seafood options like Fish or Shrimp Tacos!

To drink, they offer a wide selection of Jarritos as well as their Non Alcoholic Michelada made with Topo Chico. This was super refreshing and much needed alongside all of the rich food we were eating.
