Some places just feel like a hidden gem the moment you walk in, and Viet Corner is exactly that. Tucked between the Energy Corridor and Katy, this cozy Vietnamese spot delivers authentic flavors, comforting classics, and some of the best Vietnamese coffee we’ve had in the city. Step inside, and you’ll find a warm, welcoming space where Viet aunties are hard at work in the kitchen, cooking up homestyle dishes just like they would for their own families.

The menu has Vietnamese favorites, including harder-to-find dishes like Bún Riêu, a rich and tangy crab noodle soup, and Phá Lấu, a braised pork organ stew. If you’re new to these dishes, they’re worth trying, especially for those who love complex broths and bold seasoning. But if you’re looking for a more familiar starting point, there are plenty of great options to ease into.

We couldn’t get enough of the Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng—grilled pork stuffed into a baguette with fresh herbs, pickled veggies, and spreads. The Chả Giò (pork and shrimp egg rolls) came out hot and crispy, a classic served with fish sauce. The Cánh Gà Chiên Nước Mắm (fish sauce chicken wings) had that addictive sticky, sweet, and umami-rich glaze. But the real standout? The Súp Cua—a thick, flavorful crab and egg drop soup, taken up a notch with the addition of a century egg for extra depth.

And then there’s the coffee. Viet Corner takes their brews seriously, offering unique flavors like Egg Coffee, Matcha Coffee, and Salted Coffee. While each one brings something special, the egg coffee was hands down our favorite. The topping was thick, creamy, and dessert-like (but not too sweet).

Viet Corner might be new to the scene, but it’s already delivering some of the most satisfying Vietnamese flavors in Houston. With a menu this good and coffee this memorable, it’s a place worth keeping in your rotation.
