Houston made history this week as the very first Texas location the Michelin Guide Ceremony took place– what a night! The event celebrated the incredible talent and diversity of our local dining scene with Michelin stars, Bib Gourmand honors, and recommended restaurants. Houston’s culinary excellence was finally spotlighted, putting our city firmly on the global food map!

Six of Houston’s restaurants earned Michelin stars, the guide’s highest honor for outstanding quality and skill. Restaurants honored included BCN Taste & Tradition, Le Jardinier, March, Tatemo, and Musaafer. CorkScrew BBQ rounded out the list, representing Houston barbeque.

17 local gems were awarded Bib Gourmand, celebrating high-quality food at moderate prices. Nancy’s Hustle, Street to Kitchen, Truth BBQ, Blood Bro’s BBQ, Pinkerton’s BBQ, Killen’s, Killen’s BBQ, The Pit Room, Tejas Chocolate and BBQ, Rosemeyer BBQ, Theodore Rex, Malai Kitchen, Mala Sichuan, Rosie Canonball, Nobies, Nam Giao, Ema, and Belly of the Beast were all honorees!

Bludorn, Baso, Brisket and Rice, Candente, Late August, Pappas Bros Steakhouse, and Hidden Omakase received Michelin’s Recommended designation. There was even a special Sommelier Award for Steven McDonald from Pappas Bros. Steakhouse!

This historic moment was a celebration of Houston’s vibrant food culture, talented chefs, and the diverse flavors that make this city so unique. It’s safe to say Houston’s food scene is officially on the map, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
