Pizza and Indian Fusion in Cypress: The Curry Pizza Guy

Personally, there’s nothing we love more than some Friday night takeout after a long week. There’s always the classic pizza delivery or Indian takeout, but now there’s a spot in Houston that does both! The Curry Pizza Company just opened its first Texas location in Cypress and offers a menu full of creative pizzas featuring Indian-inspired flavors.

The restaurant has a walk-up counter where you can order your goodies to go or enjoy them at the indoor seating area. The real perk is that you can order in advance through their website and just pop by to pick up your meal!

We got to attend their grand opening and tried a few of their inventive fusion items.

The star of their menu is all the pizzas topped with ingredients from classic Indian dishes. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, and Tandoori Paneer. Spoiler: they were all insanely delicious! The Tikka Masala had a white sauce base with Tikka chicken on top. While the chicken definitely had some heat, the sauce balanced out the spice perfectly.

Our absolute favorite was the Butter Chicken pizza! It has a butter chicken sauce base topped with butter chicken pieces and peppers. We absolutely loved how tender the chicken was, and the sauce was SO creamy. Truly an iconic mash-up! 💥

If you are gluten-free or vegetarian, there are plenty of options for you on the menu like the Tandoori Paneer pizza. It features soft paneer tossed in their tandoori spices on top of their white sauce

On the menu, you'll also find traditional pizza options, appetizers, and wings. You'll definitely want to try their Butter Chicken Waffle Fries and Achari wings with your pizza! The Butter Chicken Waffle Fries were packed with that butter chicken flavor, and using the waffle fries as a base for the butter chicken was absolutely genius.

Overall, this is a great place in town to try some fun and inventive pizza as well as satisfy all your late-night cravings!
