New Latin Caribbean Food Truck in EaDo: Flor y Miel

Houston, get excited because Eado is the site of a delicious new Latin Caribbean food truck! Flor y Miel is the brainchild of the incredibly talented and passionate Chef Flo, a chef who is passionate about sharing her Dominican Republican roots with Houston. 

It’s stationed at Eden Plant Co., which means you get to enjoy your meal enveloped in lush greenery. Coupled with the fresh and bright flavors of the Caribbean, the meal will successfully transport you to the tropics. 

But Flor y Miel is more than just a food truck. It's a hub for community and culture, hosting special events (stay up to date by following @florymielhtx). A few months ago, we had the pleasure of attending a family-style Dominican dinner curated by Chef Flo. The experience was nothing short of amazing, we were seriously blown away by how good the food was. We also appreciated her attention to detail. The setting, adorned with lush greenery, was perfectly complemented by the beautifully set tables. The food and cocktails were exceptional, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

That’s not all, every Wednesday at 7 pm, Flor y Miel transforms into a musical haven with Jazz Night, offering a unique blend of delicious food and live music. It’s the perfect mid-week escape, combining the soulful sounds of jazz with flavors of the Latin Caribbean.
