New Destination for Elevated American Classics in Houston's East End: Jonathan's the Rub

If you're a fan of elevated American classics, there’s a new spot in Houston’s East End that you’ll want to put on your list—Jonathan’s the Rub has just opened its third location! We’ve been a fan of their Memorial restaurant for years, so we were thrilled to hear they were expanding. This new location continues their tradition of offering top-tier food and ambiance, making it a perfect spot to impress any dining guest, whether it's a business lunch, date night, or just a casual happy hour.

What we love about Jonathan's The Rub is the diversity of their menu. There’s truly something for everyone, no matter what you’re craving. If you’re looking for recommendations, we suggest starting with the JTR Garlic Knots—they’re seriously addictive. The Ceviche is fresh and vibrant, and the Mexican Style Pizza adds a fun twist to a classic. For something heartier, the Baseball Sirloin and Pecan Crusted Trout are always solid choices. And if you’re in the mood for comfort food, the Chicken and Waffle or Mac-N-Cheese never disappoints.

Happy hour at Jonathan’s is from 2-6 PM, and it's available at the bar and on the patio, so it's a great time to stop by and enjoy some of these delicious options. Plus, if you prefer to enjoy their food at home, they offer takeout too. You can order online or through the Toast Takeout App.
