Three-Story Bar With Downtown Views in Houston: Tejas Brewery

Tejas Brewery has officially entered the Houston craft beer scene, and it’s on our list of must-visit! Sitting just outside downtown in Sawyer Yards, this three-story brewery offers some of the best skyline views in the city. It’s the perfect place to kick back with a drink and watch the sunset. The vibe is casual but lively, especially on Thursday nights when live music sets the tone (starting at 6pm).

Beyond the brews, the menu is comprised of delicious bar food. The Elote Mac and Cheese Balls were crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside, delivering just the right amount of spice. The Queso Flameado Burger was stacked high and dripping with melted cheese, while the wings brought the perfect balance of saucy heat and tang (definitely get their Lemon Pepper). The pizza was a solid shareable option, and we had to end with the Strawberry Cheesecake Churro Empanada, a dessert that blended warm, crispy churro dough with rich, creamy filling (another must)! Every dish felt like it was made to pair perfectly with a cold pint!

Tejas Brewery isn’t just about great beer and food—it’s also about the experience. They’ve just launched brewery tours, giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at how their house-brewed beers come to life. With seasonal selections on the way, there’s always going to be something new to try. 

The first floor is dog-friendly, making it a great option for those who don’t want to leave their pups at home. And weekend plans just got an upgrade with their all-day brunch running Friday through Sunday, giving even more reason to stop by and soak in the views!
