New Upscale Dining in River Oaks: Leo’s

If you’re looking for a new destination to take that special someone, look no further than Leo’s in River Oaks! This brand-new restaurant is the definition of elegance with a modern twist, offering a menu that blends classic favorites with inventive touches. It’s the perfect swanky restaurant to celebrate a special occasion or impress a guest. 

The owner named Leo’s after his wife and daughter’s astrological sign, the Leo! And you can spot nods to their namesake with lion motifs scattered around the restaurant–it’s like a fun scavenger hunt to spot them (hint: it’s pictured in some of the dishes!). The restaurant is absolutely stunning with intimate seating nooks tucked into the walls, grand chandeliers, and plush chairs. It’s a dream, especially when the pianist starts playing around 6 pm.

Leo’s menu features a variety of classic dishes, from oysters that taste fresh from the sea to tender, melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon. Our personal favorite, however, was their creamy Truffle Agnolotti. It was so tasty and masterfully drew out the ingredients’ flavors. Trust us when we say it’s a must-try. 

And dessert here should NOT be skipped. Their pastry chef must have had their hands touched by the heavens because everything we tried had the table fighting for the next bite! We tried the Orange Ginger Souffle which warmed our souls, the delicate Mille Feuille, which was a table favorite, and the incredibly decadent Tarte Au Chocolat. 

And to top it all off, Leo’s is located right next to the River Oaks Theatre! So you can easily make a dinner-and-a-movie date out of your evening. Treat yourself to a delicious meal, then enjoy a movie just steps away—it’s the perfect night out!
